Going Alcohol Free For #MeditateInMarch

As described in the previous article, we have decided to prioritise the habit of a daily mediation practice in our lives to work through a sense of stress and reconnect with ourselves.

We have also decided to cut out alcohol during #MeditateInMarch. The primary reason for cutting out alcohol is to have deeper sleep cycles and bring more energy and concentration during meditation sessions. So this will mean that we get more from each meditation session.

There are various benefits from giving up alcohol for a month. The article below describes the deeper sleep cycles and more concentration, as well the savings in calories and cash:

Alcohol Recommendations

The Ministry of Health (New Zealand) recommends the following limits to reduce the risk of drinking alcohol:

Female Male
Standard Drinks Per Day 2 3
Maximum Per Week 10 15
Maximum Days Drinking 5/7 5/7
