Blue Light & Eye Damage

Research from the University of Toledo in the US identified that prolonged exposure to blue light can cause macular degeneration – an incurable eye condition. Details of the research can be found here:

To protect your eyes from blue light, the university advises wearing glasses that can filter both UV and blue light while outside and avoiding the use of mobile devices in the dark.

Most devices include options to reduce blue light. The articles below describe how to enable the ‘night light’ feature on some devices. The ‘night light’ feature reduces the amount of blue light emitted from the device. The ‘night light’ feature can be enabled for extended periods of time, such as a start time of 6am and a finish time of 5am.
