Weekday Schedule Version 1.0

Lama Zopa Rinpoche talked about making the most of life by doing practice. At the moment I have been doing some Vajrasattva purification, this blog, some reading, but not too much else really. I’ve been reading about Mind Training and I really like it.

Lama Zopa Rinpoche talked about how it is all very well reading about Mind Training, but it is only through regular familiarization in meditation that it is possible to use it in difficult situations. Without that familiarization in meditation, difficult situations will arise and those Mind Training books will be stuck at the back of your mind. It is easy to carry on with the bad habits that I normally fall back into.

So I came up with a daily schedule that I can do to make the most of the time in each day, and not fritter away my time in this life. I am only applying this to weekdays for the time being. Weekends are usually quite variable so it’s difficult to keep to a schedule. This is what I have in mind:

06:00    Wake up!!

06:30    Session #1: 2 hours.
– 30 mins Daily prayers & set motivation.
– 90 mins Reading & meditating on a text.

08:30    Get ready for work.

09:00    Get to work.

19:00    Get to hom

21:00    Session #2: 1 hour.
– 30 mins Day review & blog.
– 30 mins Vajrasattva purification & dedication.

22:00    Get to bed.
